BJJ WORKOUT FOR STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
As an MMA Athlete, not only do you have to train the skills and technique of each mixed martial art, but you also have to be conditioned for each as well.
Whether you are a specialist in jujitsu, judo, submission grappling, boxing, wrestling, or any martial art of fighting sport when it comes to MMA your fitness level, conditioning and strength must be able to with-stand your opponents skills and strengths.
On FunkMMA, I like to include sport specific, functional training as well. Your training will never be static and will continue to evolve and change as you become more skilled.
Make sure to constantly step outside your comfort zone and work on your weaknesses or introduce new training techniques to ensure you get better as an all-round fighter.
The workout below is BJJ Workout influenced created and inspired by former professional MMA fighter and trainer Joey Alvarado (Shadow Jitsu and Kettle Jitsu). It takes some exercises that Jiu-Jitsu uses in their conditioning training.
If you are a Grappler, Jiu-Jitsu or MMA Athlete use this workout on your off training days to keep you strong and in excellent condition.
