MMA Strength Workout – “Awaken the Beast”

MMA Strength Workout by Funk Roberts to build “Anytime Strength. This is a great MMA strength circuit that you can do at the gym to build strength and endurance

MMA Strength Workout “AWAKEN THE BEAST”

Perform each exercise for 45 seconds of work followed by 15 seconds rest.
Rest for 2 minutes and repeat for 3 total rounds

Warm Up Routine –
Post Workout Stretch –

1. DB Snatch R – 70lbs
2. DB Snatch L – 70lbs
3. Abs Roll Outs
4. Wrestlers DB Lunge – 10 lbs
5. Alternating Running DB Punches
6. Pull Ups
7. Overhead Med Ball Squats – 20 lbs
8. Parallel Bar Dips
9. Side to Side Hops
10. DB Press – 60lbs
(Note weight is what Funk used not what he suggests)

    Looks good. Maybe needs some heavier moves for the legs, though? Gotta try this if I ever go back to a regular gym. For now, enjoying getting destroyed by kettlebells at the academy.

      Hey Soul,
      Thanks. Next week you can use the Leg Finisher that I am going to post after you are done this, if you do not think you are being challenged enough.

      Perform each exercise one after the other with no rest for the prescribed reps.
      Barbell Lunges 7 reps
      Barbell Jump Squats 7 reps
      Barbell Squats 7 reps
      Rest 2 minutes and repeat.

    Hello Funk,happy new year to you. Arrived early in the gym before opening up this morning, felt tired and de-motivated, must be all the festive indulgence or something. Thankfully i checked my e-mails and was super stoked when i watched your latest training video. Got on it about 2 hours later and it absulutely destryed me!!, was exactly what i needed as i have been a bit slack on the training front and not been pushing hard enough, this has got me right back in the zone again!, its a top workout, thanks very much.
